She invites her "followers" to play Minecraft with her and a friend on a private server, you know, those aternos.com that you can use for free to play with someone without the hassle of setting a lot of shit up just to have some fun together? That one. I thought "hey, this looks like a good chance to get to know her better, or at least have some interaction that doesn't look like flirting." Because I hate flirting, it's so... blatant, and we all know the final purpose of flirting, which is getting laid, and I wasn’t looking for something like that.
Also, it was March, and we were ALL in quarantine. I had better games to play but still, having nothing else to do and a shitload of "free"-time I replied.
So she gives me the IP, I connect to the server after some minutes and I find her with two other players, one cool dude that knows her IRL and a girl, a very close friend of hers.
We played for the entire evening, talking to each other only with the ingame chat and switching on Instagram after that night. We were all excited to do it again, maybe with even more people.
So we started playing regularly, and in a couple days we created a nice, big mansion for everybody. Like, wow, I was having fun in Minecraft again after more than three or four years.
After a couple of days, we moved onto Discord. They all had a microphone (mostly because they all used a phone) and weren’t afraid to use it, like me. I never heard her voice until now. We kept having a good time together, a few more eventually joined in, both in the discord rooms and the minecraft server to play together.
After what seemed less than a week, she gave me her phone number to talk on WhatsApp, because it's way more comfortable than Instagram, even though I would've preferred Telegram, since you don't need to share your phone number to the person you wanna talk to, just to make sure you all understand my intentions at that time.
She preferred to use WhatsApp since (as she said) Telegram is filled with weirdos... she also trusted me, and I trusted her, I mean after a week of talking and playing with someone, I would trust them almost completely.
We started talking everyday, saying "good morning" and "goodnight" to each other like I never did with someone.
"That's nothing special" you might think. And you're right. I felt like this was something pretty normal to do with someone, and I'm not that socially awkward to have never talked to someone for more than one week.
It's just... it was a girl this time, I had lots of friendships, but I never had something like this with a girl.
